Below is an amazing video about the plastic garbage dump in the Pacific Ocean. The video was made by some of the researchers from the marine research group Algalita. Earlier this year I accumulated some information about this “North Pacific Gyre” and I wrote about it here. Basically there is a spot in the Pacific Ocean twice the size of Texas that has accumulated all sorts of plastics. This, of course, has all kinds of implications on wildlife and our own food sources.
